Lori and I started out as tent campers back in the late 70s. We moved up to a pop-up camper and thought we've really hit the jack-pot. Lori and I have always enjoyed the outdoors especially the State of Michigan and all it has to offer. In the early 80s we purchase a cottage on a lake. We enjoyed 13 years of lake activities of fun, sun, family, and friends. During that time we got away from camping.
We've always had a dream of owning a cabin in the woods. While on one of our camping trips in our motor home we started looking at property or a cabin near our friends in Lake and Mason counties. We came across the property in Manistee county and decided to build our own Cabin in the Woods
We purchased 10 acres of land in the Manistee National Forest in 2004 and built the "Cabin" in 2005. Since that time we have moved onto other adventures and sold the "Cabin" in 2021 to our firends. Here is a look at some of the advenures we had during that time.
